It’s tee time again for residents of Port Jefferson Station! We’re thrilled to once again participate in the Annual Golf Outing, hosted by Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church Knights of Columbus Council, at the Port Jefferson Country Club on August 19th. The Knights of Columbus are committed to giving back to the community via various charitable, educational, religious, and social welfare programs, and the annual golf outing serves as an important part of their fundraising endeavors to support their work. The Council that covers Port Jefferson - the Joan of Arc Council - has contributed to many local causes, including:
- Coats for Kids
- Sporting events for local children
- The Infant Jesus Food Pantry
- Flag placement at the Calverton National Cemetery
- Tunnel to Towers Organization
- Hermanos de la Corridad con Cristo
- The ALS Ride for Life
- General Needs Organization for Veterans
- Jude Hospital for Children
- Scholarships for local students
- Stony Brook Veterans Home
A Day of Golf, Camaraderie, & Charity
The day will begin at 9:30 a.m. when registration begins at scenic Port Jefferson Country Club, followed by a shotgun start at 11 a.m. From there it’s a day full of swings on pristine greens overlooking the Long Island Sound. Enjoy 18 holes like a pro on the 145-acre, 6800-yard championship course, which includes sections of the original 9-hole Belle Terre Club course. While you’re golfing on a little piece of Long Island history, you’ll be competing against residents and employees in the Port Jefferson area, including Belle Terre and Port Jefferson Station. This will be a perfect opportunity to meet new friends, network with other professionals, and engage with the community in a positive environment. The day will finish up with a barbecue and awards ceremony, with prizes coming straight from the Port Jefferson Country Club Pro Shop.
Support Local Needs With a Swing
Join us on August 19th to celebrate and give back to our amazing Port Jefferson community. There’s no better way to spend a day than playing a round on the beautiful rolling hills of the Port Jefferson Country Club, especially when it benefits so many great local causes. Tickets are $81.88 per person and include greens fees, cart fee, a hat, a sleeve of golf balls, tees, and the barbecue and awards ceremony. Can’t make the event in person but still want to help out?
