Dr. Viet Tran’s story begins in Brooklyn, NY, where he grew up after his family immigrated to America in the 1980s. In his household, oral health was not a priority, leading to numerous difficult dental experiences as a child. These challenges became the foundation of his mission to change the narrative around dentistry. Driven to provide compassionate care and educate patients about oral health, Dr. Tran committed himself to creating a more positive, informed, and empathetic approach to dental care.

Education and Training: A Journey of Excellence

Dr. Tran earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. John's University before receiving his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Following his dental degree, he completed a General Practice Residency at New York Hospital of Queens, where he mastered cosmetic dentistry, emergency care, and cutting-edge dental materials and techniques.

To further specialize, Dr. Tran completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Stony Brook Hospital. This advanced training has uniquely equipped him to address the dental needs of children and patients with special needs.

Through the organization Great Shape, he has provided free dental care in developing countries, including a recent outreach program in Turks and Caicos. During this mission, he and his wife treated over 100 patients of all ages, bringing much-needed care to a community in need. Dr. Tran is committed to continuing his humanitarian efforts and extending care to people worldwide.
